Shirley Hazlett
Bio: Shirley Hazlett is an artist based in Sacramento, California. She has an MFA in Painting with Honors from the San Francisco Art Institute and holds dual BA degrees in Art Studio and Art History from the California State University, Sacramento. Shirley has exhibited work through The California Museum, the Crocker Art Museum and the Center for Contemporary Art, all in Sacramento; the Pence Gallery in Davis; the Shoshana Wayne Gallery in Santa Monica; the Diego Rivera Gallery and The Grotto in San Francisco; and the North Vancouver CityScape Community Art Space in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The artist has paintings at the Italian Cultural Center in Carmichael, the California State University, Sacramento, and a series of four paintings will be installed in the entrance of the new UC Davis Cancer Center in October 2012. Shirley also is Board Secretary of the ARTFriends of the Nelson Gallery, UC Davis. Shirley is an artist-member of Axis Gallery in Sacramento, California.
